Just as I was about to enter my very first words of my very first blog, my son, Hayes 3 1/2, entered the room. "Mom, I just peed all over myself!" he said, smiling proudly. I then asked if he'd peed anywhere else, "just a little on the wall and the toilet and the floor and on my cheek and on my forehead." It's difficult to not laugh and to not cry at the same time because you know you have some dreaded cleaning to do.
Back to the beginning, I finally decided to start a blog, mainly about my kids because they do so many wonderful and not so wonderful things every day. I really want to remember these things and cannot get myself to keep an actual journal. Hopefully I will be better about "journaling" here. I'm sure this is the same reason many people start blogs. I guess that's a good thing to want to store these memories.
My son, Hayes, is 3 1/2 and my daughter, Camrin, is 11 months. So far they are very different but love each other nonetheless. It's been an incredible experience seeing them grow and their personalities develop.
Hayes is very into the movie Cars and everything that goes with it. He often quotes lines from the movie, which makes me very ashamed as a mother that he has watched it enough to absorb all of this info. This morning he asked, "how can blue cars quit at the top of their game?" I really was stumped and did not know how to answer this one. Before I could think of an answer, he put his finger on the top of his head and told me, "this is the top of your game." So then my laughter saved my lack of creativity.
Until next time...
